Hotel Plaza Europa Review

  • I recently spent 11 nights at Hotel Plaza Europa and had a very nice stay. The location is beyond excellent and definitely the best reason to stay there. You are pretty much right between Passions and Rumbas. You can walk to both easily. The only time I ever took a motoconcho was when I took back girls.

Try to get a room that isn't next to the street. I was in a second floor room right next to the street. My brother stayed in the room next to me. My room only had a window in the bathroom and noise wasn't a problem. My brothers room had a bunch of windows and the motoconcho drivers made him pretty miserable.

I was charged $400 for 11 nights. They lock your AC at a certain temperature when they take you to your room. They take the AC remote away from you. They will give you the remote for your stay for an additional $20. I thought that was pretty damn stupid but the room was always cool enough.

The room was pretty basic and the bed was comfortable enough. I never took one cold shower during the stay. They had cable with 3 porno channels and HDMI inputs on the tv. I would hook my cell phone into the tv to watch stuff in HD and you can show girls the pictures you take of them in high res on a big screen.

They have a little bar in the front of the hotel. Cuba Dave put up an article about how awesome the bar was recently. The reality of the bar isn't anything close to how he described it. Most nights there is only a couple of girls at the bar. I think I may have saw five there one time. His article made it sound like there is pussy on tap like a FOD or something.

They do have an extra charge if you bring more than one girl. You can get water and there is usually coffee in the lobby. They have a security guard with a shotgun at the entrance.

I hear a lot of people talking about the German owner being a dick to the employees. I'm sure dealing with employees there is like running a daycare center so I don't care. He seemed like a pretty nice guy.

  • Yeah, I second Bweati's review of the Europa, I had great service there and the location can't be beat.  As for their bar, the chicas there are super cool, even though there isn't but 4 or 5 at a time.  If your at the bar they can call someone for food delivery and you can eat right there and then at their bar.  The girls are also extremely helpful to you getting around town and me and shadowman loved talking to them.
The german owner of the hotel, I saw on occasions did yell and scream at his employees but never touched them or fired them. He runs a tight ship and never at one time did I have a problem with my room.   Also he's got a great sense of humor and is friendly with the guests.  The hotel is going to open up a new resturant soon so eating american style foods will  be even easier to get to.  Room temperature was just fine for me. All in all I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  • This is not unusual for the German culture, especially old school Germans.
Not approving, but just how it is/was.

  • Stayed here on my most recent trip and have to agree that it was a great hotel. Girls at the bar were great and all can be viewed on their Facebook page under europa bar SosĂșa. Cubre libres are 60 pesos on Fridays. Will be staying there my next stay.
