Using a cabana is a great idea they cost 500 pesos for 4 hours and are as nice as most 5 star hotels.  If you play your cards right I am sure they could arrange company for you as well.  Carib tours and Metro bus both have service in Santiago and are excellent.  Freezing air and movie on some buses.  For 8 bucks to Sosua.  I have used the Gua Guas and they are fine.  They take you to the middle of the cities they travel to.  The price is very low but they get you to where you want to go.  I little spanish would help.  I never pay for expensive cab rides.  My last trip I went from Sosua to San Francisco.  I used carib tours to Santiago 250 pesos. Cab to Gua Gua 200 pesos , Gua Gua 100 pesos to Sanfrancisco . Moto Couchi to front door of chicas house 50 pesos.

I'm gonna be coming in to Santiago on a horrible flight arriving at 3:00am sand leaving at 4:00am.  Fucking worthless Spirit Airlines, but the airfare is nearly free.

1) Has anyone used a cabana for a short stay to simply sleep.  I would want on from 4am or so until late morning.  Would they work well for this purpose and does anyone know where they are in Santiago and what they cost?

2) I thought I'd try using the scheduled mini-bus routes to get to BBs - does anyone know how/where to catch them and if they are a pleasant trip or a nightmare?

I'd appreciate any details anyone has.
