It's probably been about 3 years since I'd last visited. I've only been there once but stayed for a week to get a good idea what the atmosphere is like there. Out of a scale of 1 to 5, I would give it a 3.5 from an AI resort perspective. Like I said before, it is owned by Frank and Mercedes who are really nice people. Frank is straight up guy who is very willing to answer your questions and accomodate you. His wife is responsible for taking care of the girls and lays out the rules for them....think of her as the mamasan to BB. They have their own forums similar to TAV and the guests have posted some good trip reports to get you an idea on what to expect.
When I did went, I personally had an issue with the girl I was staying with. If I remember correctly, her name was Amber. It started out great, we had chemistry and we were having a lot of fun together. I was buying her gifts here and there because I appreciated the GFE she was providing me. One night, she turned on me like a rattlesnake and I never got the true meaning why she got upset with me because the reason never made any sense. At the time, I was still very noobish to this whole mongering thing and being the nice guy that I was, I tried to work it out with her. It was a mistake on my part and I should of switched her when I had the chance. One of those things you live and learn. It was very odd, however, this is not the norm at all as most of the girls there were really nice and passionate. The only reason why I brought this up is because I think she still works there so just a heads-up if you decide to go.
I could be wrong Rangerbill, but I think you've been to TAV so I'll do my best to use that as a comparison.
Price: -It's more expensive than TAV but the real estate is nicer.
Rooms: -I felt the rooms are much nicer and cleaner their compared to TAV. TAV is really run-down and some of the rooms make you feel like you are in a dungeon. Now I hear Al and Jen (part owners of TAV) have made some renovations recently, but I'm not sure how much of a huge improvement was made. To me, there was a lot of work that needed to be done.
-The bathrooms were decent, sometimes the hot water didn't work but Frank usually corrected the problem for me when it did happen.
Location: -It's located in Juan Dolio and is A LOT quieter compared to TAV. That's because there is very little restaurants or nightlife around the vicinity. This can be a deal-breaker for some people. The beach is nice, feels very private, and you don't get those annoying salesman trying to sell you trinkets all day long.
Food: -All food is cooked on the premises. They higher a cook and basically give you a menu and they'll make it for you. The food is very good, I had no issues with it. Please keep in mind though, this is not a place where you can eat anytime you feel like it. They have set timeframes on when breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served. While TAV will allow you to order from D'Nancy's anytime you want as long as they are open.
-The girls eat the same time you do, but they eat the same thing all the time (generally rice and stew). They are NOT allowed to order anything off of the menu as guests do. So basically I could have a nice steak and she could just have a bowl of rice to eat. It's kind of awkward and I use to share some of my food with her because I felt bad. I remember one guest I met was completely turned-off by it. I'm sure it was set up this way due to cost and to make sure the guests had the options.
Excursions: -They have a few similar to TAV...it's posted on their website. I think the most popular one that people like is riding the ATV's. I didn't do much excursions when I went, I wanted to just relax and fuck.
Chicas: -It's what you would expect from the lineup business model. It can be a hit or miss, but I definitely saw some nice girls there and good looking. While chemistry is important to getting a real good experience, the vets know which ones are the good ones. I saw one girl and she spoke good English and was just plain fun. Of course she was booked the entire time and was pre-selected...gee...I wonder why!!

-The girls are taught not to do anything bareback...including blowjobs so that could be a turnoff for some people. Again ymmv.
-The girls stay on the premises but only come out of their rooms when it's time to eat. So you get a small opportunity to survey the talent there in case you want to switch and possibly mingle with them.
Overall, I liked TSA a little better compared to TAV mainly because of the facilities. I like staying at cleaner places if possible. I want my rooms to be decent because that's where the main event happens as opposed to going to Disneyland where the hotel room is not the main attraction!
Hope this gives you an idea of what to expect. I try to give a non-bias view as best I could. This is just from my personal experience.
Cheers,
-Yalen
