What would you say the differences are (pros and cons) of a stay here as opposed to BB?

Not familiar with BB, but here's my two cents:
    - Just around the corner of Pedro Clisante
    - They speak Italian  :D
    - Nice restaurant few doors further
    - Sea and beach only a five minute walk away

  • If you stay in Sosua New Garden is a nice place to stay. Like James G said it's just around the corner of Pedro Clisante. So everything is in walking distance....like Classico, Rumba Bar, Latino's, the beach and etc. Free breakfast is also included. They have females that come on the premise but unlike BB's they don't work for New Garden. So there will be no bulletin board to see what chicas you would like to get with. The pool is very small. Those are the only cons to me with New Garden. They have an old side and a new side. They new side is a little more and have better bathrooms. They also have bikini contest but not on the regular schedule like BB's. There are a few bikini contest videos on YouTube.

  • Yes - I saw some of the YouTube videos.
Was more curious after CEO brought up the topic of New Garden and Terra Linda.
    Thanks.

  • Another big difference is New Garden is like a Frat House and loud and wild where as BB is relaxing and layed back and like mentioned above the girls have rules to follow and terra linda and new garden they have no rules

  • In my opinion. New Garden is a budget  hotel. No frills, girls in court yard, visitation no probs, but basic, very basic.
Terra Linda is more high end in comparison. Cleaner, more secluded, visitation for girls good, but wayyyyyy to expensive for what's there. Keep in mind these hotels are right next to each other and both are right around the corner from the club/bar district.
BB is in a whole different area, you need a car to go from there to the club district. BB has everything there so you really don't need to leave, lol.

  • I feel once your at BB your limited to the girls that come in,NG many more options, price for drinks a little on high side but I  stock the fridge with beverages from supermarket and many different options for food, music and fun.Guys tend to let it hang out when it comes to partying and such, as mentioned above.
Saturday and Sunday is family day so you can check out the beach  which is a short walk away.I guess each person knows what they want from there vacation, some enjoy the hunt while others enjoy fishing in a stocked pond so to speak.

  • Thank you for this information.

I am planning a trip to Sousa and am leaning to staying here at New Garden. My reasoning being is I kind of want the full experience of going to the clubs, lots of different Chicas and am not afraid of being bothered by the girls at all. Kind of look forward to the experience and all that. So in short I am thinking of staying here and spending my time on the strip rather then going to BB or FOD.

    My main questions are,

Is this location clean and safe to walk from and to the strip, even at night?

Is it needed to stay in the new section at the added cost? Is it quieter? Is it better as far as bathroom usage and air coolness?

Is there a better and maybe less expensive alternative located near the strip filling my needs for safe walking distance and clean quite rooms?

How far of a walk is it to the main strip when I will start getting into the larger numbers of Chicas present?

Also, is there a charge to get into the clubs at night where the Chicas hang out?

How did the discount negotiation go with this place?

Thank you for all the answers and please let me know if I am choosing the wrong place to stay.

  • New Garden is ok but I would check out Casa Cayena or Casa Valeria. Call them directly and if you are staying a week they can do a better deal. Which ever you choose will be a great location and very safe. I walked all over Sosua at all times of the night and day. You are probably a minute walk to the main strip with New Gared or Casa Valeria. Maybe 2 minutes with Casa Cayena. But it will take longer if you stop and get numbers for every fine chica you see on the way. Hell you may not even make it to the strip lol. Any place you go with you will always be able to visit New Garden for a drink or bite to eat. Many guys on here go to Rocky's but I have not tried it yet so can not give my view on it. When are you going?

  • Hi CEO,

I guess this means that New Garden hasn't offered any discounts or freebies to IFTC members?  Just curious.

  • I stayed there this summer and it was as quiet as a church on Wednesday.

But I walked past the hotel a few times a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty raucous with tons of dudes and few chicas hanging around.

  • Thanks for all the helpful advice!

I will have a rental car but like being near the action to have a drink or two. In Pattaya there are road blocks. I was pulled over and threatened with Thai jail. I emptied my pockets and was allowed to walk...

I will support IFTC Friendly hotels and will also stay in one. Does BB offer IFTC member discounts, upgrades or perks? I know their entire formula is excellent. I want to stay at BB a few days before hitting Sosua.

If I try out New Garden, I will post a report here. You can't beat the location for ST. If I already knew Sosua I would possibly go either cheaper staying in a rooming house or go high end at a beach resort. It's all about how you want to spend the time and where you want to spend the money.

This will be my first foray into Chicas. Believe it or not! I have never been with a latin girl, unless you count a Peruvian girl in a swingers club. A regular pendulum.  :-[

  • No BB does not offer a discount. FOD does offer a small discount.  Driving in the DR can be your same experience where you may be pulled over and threatened, then bribed.

  • Hi HuskerDude,

Thanks for the pointers. I am at BB right now as I right and had lunch at New Garden. They are very friendly there and cook as well as in Italy. Really worth it! I did note they don't have a parking lot so the car will spend the night in the street.

This morning I was in for a surprise because they drive way more wild than in Pattaya. They obey no speed limits, no road signs, no painted lines and have little common sense when it comes to risking their life. Once you figure that you're good. But I agree with BB dissuading its patrons from renting bikes. Even a car is dangerous, when you have a car body to protect yours.

I will say more about New Garden when I stay there in a few days time. So far my experience is limited because I am tired, spending the night awake traveling and waiting for the rental desk to open at the Santiago airport.

They open at 7am but the exchange desk opens at 10am so I took off without a map, without local currency, without small dollar bills, without speaking Spanish and not really knowing where I was heading. It was a fun drive to La Vega after which I decided to head up North back to Sosua. When I got to the toll booth it didn't work negotiating the dollar coins the Miami TriRail ticket machine gave me in change. It did work at the airport parking lot. So far so good!
