I diffinetly agree, guns are fun. I own multiple including the AR-15. I had to take a 2 day training course. Write an exam and demonstrate to an instructor that i could safely handle various firearms. With the safety course completed i apply to the RCMP for a firearms license. They conduct a criminal record check, and investigate any arrests, domestic issues, divorce, recent job loss, mental health issues and interview 2 people that have known me for at least 10 years.
Also my name is run everyday agaisnt new criminal records and police reports.
Im sure people would argue that its excessive, and i would agree, but I dont think its unreasonable to try to prevent unstable people easy access. I agree the 2nd ammendant is an important law based on your past.
Per capita (100,000) gun deaths is 1.97 (CA) and 10.5 (US)
