I stayed at El Rancho Jan 31st to Feb 8. I had their only apt. The original price when I booked was $70.00 a day. When I checked in, Mayala knocked it down to $65 a day. Either way, that was still too much. I only did it because I thought an apt would be a good idea. A nice place to entertain, maybe have a small party with my buddies/chicas. I never used the kitchen. Or the two balconies that are on opposite ends of the apt. The apt was nice overall though. But the bed sucked. It was noisy as hell.
The main value of an apt other than being able to cook, is not walking directly into your BR as soon as you open the door. Another issue not too cool, was that you had a steep set of stairs you had to climb to get to the apt. Has anybody ever stayed at Seabreeze? Well if you are in the pool area at Seabreeze and look to the left there is a set of wooden stairs you can see over the wall. These are the same stairs leading to the apt of El Rancho. Those stairs are a killer if you slip and fall. One day the stairs were wet from rain, and I can see how someone can misstep and hurt themselves. Or if you have to carry heavy luggage up or down those stairs thats a chore.
My buddy P stayed in a room next to El Rancho's pool. Too damn small, and you could smell a damp odor. If you need a decent sized room, I would not recommend El Rancho. Their rooms are too small, the apt is overpriced and not convenient to get to.
I just booked for April at Rockys Sosua Suites Condos, I will see if I can find a report here. I will offer one after my stay there. I did get a chance to see a guys unit back in Nov 2011 and thought it was pretty nice. He gave me a tip , not to reserve a room at RSSC in the A or B section, choose the C or D section. A & B are too close to the noise of the clubs. I just booked and they honored my request for 2 rooms in the C & D sections. The price now is $300 for a week, plus $30 a week mandatory for the cleaning staff. $60 a day for every day after a week.
Hope this helpful for someone.
