    • Saw posted on another board, Classicos shut down by presidential order.  They want to clean up center of Sosua. Can anyone confirm this rumor?  :(

    • they always do this stuff during low season and by the time high season comes around it is always business as normal.

    if it is not harrassing girls walking down the streets it is closing business's down.  however, when high season comes around, all goes back to normal

    • Several sources on ground now say both Classicos & Merrange Bar closed down today (tonight), possibly for good, voluntarily by owner.

    • Multiple confirmations.  Classico is closed.  It was slow when I was there Sept 8.  I feel like I got the last ride of the roller coaster.   Blackbeards stock just soared.

Bars & restaurants on the main drag in Sosua closed by military police.  Includes Merengue bar, Classicos, City lights, etc.  All must move to the far end near the Ahnvee resort past Europia by Playa Chiquita & High Carribean Disco.  Bourbon Street has moved inside the Ahnvee resort.

    Latest info from last night.     Looks like the action is moving east and a bit north. It'll be a while before I get back but perhaps a look at the hotels down on that end are in order.
