Title: I am having difficulties posting photographs
Post by: Big boy on December 11, 2015, 04:29:17 PM
Approximately 50% of my photographs are rejected because they are greater than the size permitted.  The worst occurance was earlier today when 42 of a possible 45 photos were rejected.  What is going on?  Are other members having the same problem?  Can the permitted size be increased?

You need to resize your files. File size is limited to 2.5mb. Most phones/cameras now a days create photos that are larger than this limit.

I'm assuming the limit is in place as CEO is trying to limit the cost of storage. Online data storage is expensive.

You can use the program paint on Microsoft computers. Resize to 25%. You have to do each picture separately.

This website, http://www.picresize.com/batch.php (http://www.picresize.com/batch.php) you can load multiple files and resize them at once.

If your not computer savy, send them to me, johnnyc3d@gmail.com. I'll post them for you.

Just a tip for all:  When I go to the DR, I set my camera on a medium setting, so I don't have to resize, cause I had the same problem when I started out.

Thanks for the advice.  I will try both these initiatives.  Interestingly I got a new camera a few months ago and the problem started with the new camera.

Also there is a limit to the amount of photos being posted in one single post and that is 30 now that doesnt mean all u can post in ur report is 30 it just means no single post can have more than 30 photos so just create another post.

Thanks Johnny and husker for helping him out
