There's more to this place than meets th eeye when you first approach it, because it doesn't look like a hotel from the outside. It's also not known at all by the local taxistas, so be sure to get good "local" directions if you book here.

This place is made up of a bunch of fairly standard rooms, clean and comfortable, but not loaded with amenities. It's a place to stay, no more. No restaurants or bar here, although if you take the time to hang with Dennis over drinks you'll find that he may very well be one of the most knowledgeable guys in San Jose. He knows all the places, and all the girls, and if you have questions you should ask him for great local advice. Even if you drop by just to see the place come armed with questions. His brother is not so knowledgeable, but Dennis is awesome.

The location is a short walk to the Del Rey, near the central boulevard, on the same street as Relax, Idem, Tin Jo's etc. I believe the cost is about $40/night right now, and is a solid value for the price, although newbies may find the neighbourhood intimidating and I probably wouldn't counsel it for a first timer who is looking to get his feet under him. Repeat visitors should consider this place or at least have it as an alternate should their favorite be unavailable.
