Got this from Sosua news:

By order of the tourist police and the mayor and aldermen of Sosúa, the bars, clubs and discos in the main street Pedro Clisante have to be closed again, so there is no view inside the establishment. From the street it should no longer be possible to see what goes on inside. This is an order of the government so families walking by will not be disturbed. The Pedro Clisante must not leave an inappropriate impression for strolling tourists with children in the evening.

Yes, i was in Sosua last week and D'latino had a crew putting the metal framing up...

But that will not stop the Chica's. It was 20 to 1 Chica vs mongers

I didn't see any prepartions at the other bars, Rumba, merengue, el flows

Well, if they loose out on Gringa's money on the strip because of the rep of a few bars that cater to P4P it's enough to do something about it for them. Basically the world's opinion about P4P is present but unseen to the general public. They are just making Sousa's action more isolated, instead of 10 block now say just 2 blocks. Shouldn't change the action just the amount of elbow room. I learned along time ago when someone say for the family it's never about the family.

Guys,

Check out Sosua News in regards to an "agreement" concerning the beach bars and restaurants. Seems like they are being cleared out except for being consolidated in a small area on each end and a choice few in the exact center.

Very brief article, but it talks about the Minister of Tourism is heading this. To me,(and this is my opinion only), the area is definitely being cleaned in preparation for big money/tourist trade when you look at all the other changes taking place.

Guess it is time to enjoy while you can!!

I have been to Sosua beach many times, I don't believe any of the gift shoppes can make money.. I spoke with several of the owners of the shops, they tell me they only pay $3 a month to rent them.

I have only used the bars that served bottle water and rent a lounge chair and umbrella, the rest of the joints look breeding grounds for diseases
