Hi guys,

WOW, when I opened my email today I got another real nice surprise from Trip Advisor. Rocky's has been recognized for a second year in a row as a recipient of "The Certificate of Excellence Award" from Trip Advisor. Here is the content of their email to me.

TripAdvisor is delighted to recognize Rocky's Rock & Blues Bar and Hotel with a 2013 Certificate of Excellence.

This prestigious award, which places you in the top-performing 10% of all businesses worldwide on TripAdvisor, is given to businesses that consistently earn high ratings from TripAdvisor travelers.

Milka and I are very proud of this prestigous award for a second year in a row and want to thank all our past, present and future customers for your fantastic support of Rocky's and us. We greatly apprecaite it very much. Trip Advisor said they are mailing the certificate once again and as I did receive last years certificate I am hoping I will also get this years so I can proudly hang it beside last years on the wall at Rocky's.

Well done! The story behind the award is probably one of VERY hard work, attention to detail and customer service second to none!!

I am really looking fwd to my september visit-already planning the next one to, (hopefully), utilize the villa!

Anyone surprised at the fact that Rockys received another award has not had the privilege of meeting or spending time with Rick and Milka.
This was my 6th trip to the DR in the last year and only my 2nd time staying at one of Rick and Milkas property's, I wish I had found them for my first 4 times here. That being said I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be for all of my next journeys to the DR than anything Rick and Milka have a hand in.
The accommodations , food and warm conversation at the Mary Rose make the trip more than worth while. From the minute my plane landed and I saw the Rockys sign with my name on it I knew I was where I had to be. Unlike the bigger resorts when you are welcomed by these warm and friendly people, it's real and genuine . They are truly happy to see you. And from this point on I am truly looking forward to seeing them again.
Thanks Rick and Milka for all your efforts, you have shown what the DR is really all about and should be very proud.

Guys,

Just want to throw out FYI...

Had a change of plans for an upcomming trip that would allow me an extra day or two in paradiso. Shot an email to Rick about possible accommodations and heard back within hours. Additionally he also offered airport pickup saving me the hassle of arriving in POP and dealing with the Taxi Mafia!

Was impressed to say the least.

Rick, my best friend on the planet....... you know you have earned this! I love the fact you act surprised and don't go around telling everyone how great you are..... so let me do it for you.....

Rick really is my best friend on the planet. He is one of the most honest, hard working, big hearted person I have ever met. He never says no anytime anyone needs help. He will always give honest, valuable, and over all good advise to anyone that asks...... and..... his food aint too bad either.... (though you still have a ways to go to perfect your copy of my steak dinner.... hehehe).

Seriously.... congrats on the award! You deserve it! This is why you never have a slow season even though the rest of the island does..... and your work over the last few months with Mary Rose is downright incredible! Keep it up! Everyone needs a friend like you that has an excellent place to go while on vacation!
